Download IROMUSIC for Mac

One command installs IROMUSIC on your Mac. If you prefer, download the DMG by hand. Both are free.

Install with one command

Open Terminal and run:

curl -fsSL https://iromusic.live/install.sh | bash

It is the same for Apple Silicon and Intel. You can read the script first: curl -fsSL https://iromusic.live/install.sh | less or open install.sh in your browser.

What the command does

It asks the IROMUSIC release catalog (api.iro.mobi) for the newest Mac build.
It downloads the file over HTTPS and checks its SHA-256 against the catalog. Nothing on your Mac changes until the hash matches.
It opens the DMG, checks the oldest macOS version the app declares, and puts iromusic.app in /Applications (or ~/Applications if /Applications is not writable). It needs no administrator password.
It clears the quarantine attribute on the installed app and tells you so at the end.
If IROMUSIC is running, it stops and asks you to quit it first.

Options: --dry-run shows what would be installed and changes nothing; --uninstall removes the app (your data stays).

macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
Apple Silicon or Intel: the build you get is universal.

Download and open the DMG.
Drag iromusic into the Applications folder.

If your Mac says the app is "damaged"

IROMUSIC is not notarized by Apple yet. A file downloaded by a browser is quarantined by macOS, and the Mac may then report it as "damaged". The app itself is fine; the install command above avoids the problem because it fetches the file with curl. For a DMG you downloaded by hand, run this once in Terminal:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/iromusic.app

Do this only for a file you got from this website.

Updating and removing

To update, quit IROMUSIC and run the same install command again; the newest version replaces the old one. Version history: releases page. To remove it:
