Browser extension
IROMUSIC in a browser tab, for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. Version 6.3.2 (build 64).
What it is
The extension is the same IROMUSIC app, with music, movies and series, running in a browser tab. The toolbar button opens it in a full tab, or switches to that tab if it is already open, so playback keeps going.
- Permission: notifications only. The extension uses it to tell you a download finished or failed while the tab is hidden.
- No access to your browsing data, tabs, history or other sites.
- Sign in with email. Google sign-in does not work inside the extension.
- Minimum versions: Chrome 116, Firefox 140.
You install it by hand from a zip file. It is not an extension-store listing, and the steps below differ for each browser.
Download
- Chrome, Edge and Brave zip, SHA-256:
a6e546aef536766efda47bd7078de0a4bc687c769cc3933f573c2b5a9fd176b9 - Firefox zip, SHA-256:
8b8975d64d33dd11d4194923b7d4ff436f234bac2694d7485624e8bf019b155e
Install only packages linked from this site. Compare the SHA-256 of your download with the line for it in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Install in Chrome, Edge or Brave
- Download the Chrome, Edge and Brave zip above.
- Unzip it to a folder you will keep. If you delete the folder, the extension stops working.
- Open the extensions page. A website cannot open it for you, so copy the address for your browser and paste it into the address bar:
chrome://extensionsedge://extensionsbrave://extensions - Turn on Developer mode.
- Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
- Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin IROMUSIC.
On some systems Chrome shows a notice at startup about disabling developer mode extensions. That is normal for extensions installed by hand.
Install in Firefox
Firefox keeps an unsigned add-on only until it restarts. A permanent Firefox install needs a signed build, which this package is not.
- Download the Firefox zip above. Keep it as a zip; do not unzip it.
- Open the debugging page. Copy the address and paste it into the address bar:
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox - Click Load Temporary Add-on and choose the zip.
- Click the IROMUSIC button in the toolbar.
After you restart Firefox, repeat from step 3.
If something goes wrong
- Load unpacked is greyed out. Developer mode is off. Turn it on at the top of the extensions page.
- "Manifest file is missing or unreadable". You chose the zip or the wrong folder. Choose the folder that contains
manifest.json. - Nothing happens, or "Package is invalid", in Firefox. Pick the zip itself, and check that you run Firefox 140 or newer.
- The app stays blank after install. Reload the extension from the extensions page.
- The extension disappeared in Firefox. That is expected after a restart. Load it again.
